Is there fur from your cat or dog on your couch, draperies, or clothing? If you’re having trouble with this, here are some of the easiest and quickest ways to get cleared off from pet fur.
1. Use Sponge to Get Rid of Pet Hair
Remove pet hair off the couches and other pillows with a clean, dry kitchen sponge. Simply run it slowly across the couch and the fur will stick to it! The problem will be fixed.
2. Hacks in Using Rubber Gloves
Another easy way to remove fur from furniture is with a pair of rubber gloves. Instead of using them while washing dishes, draw them on and massage them over the couch (or anything else that needs de-furring) to pull up the hair. Because the surface of the gloves creates tension with the surface of the furniture, the fur will roll off in hunks that you can simply discard.
3. Create your Lint Roller
Lint rollers are great for removing cat and dog hair, replacement sheets can be expensive! Instead, make a circle out of some packaging tape, sticky side out. For a fraction of the price, you’ll get the same level of picking power.
4. Use Dryer Sheets to Remove Pet Hair
It’s easier to remove your cat or dog’s fur by using a fabric softener sheet. It will pull hair to it without requiring a scrub, so keep track of where it began.
5. Use Your Vacuum Cleaner to Remove More Pet Hair
If your vacuum isn’t picking up all of the hair trapped in your carpet or upholstery fibers, a liquid fabric softener can help. Shake a spray bottle half full of water to blend the ingredients. Allow the spray to rest on your carpet for five minutes before removing it. After that, vacuum it all up.
